GET THE LOOK: SANDRA

  Hey all, hope we are all doing great.The year is still very young...time to set plans in motion people!

So, today's post is about Sandra a.k.a. Sandy baby. Sandra happens to be my soon-to-be-sister-in-law. She came over to my place not to get her makeup done, but to say hi and also to go back to school to complete her NYSC mobilization(My baby finished well by the way!). I came up with the bright idea to do a natural look for her and she was all too willing to be my model....she likes makeup ehn!

Before I go on, i'd like to correct a general misconception that a 'natural' look means less makeup. I get this a lot especially at weddings when some aunties, friends or sisters of the bride want to get their makeup done. They generally believe it means they get to pay less as well. 

Well, a 'natural' look requires as much makeup and takes just as long(if not longer, in some cases)as a dramatic look. So, bear that in mind before agreeing to sit in the makeup chair.

The focus of a natural look is the skin. So the brows, lashes, eyeshadow, blush and lip colour should be as played down as possible. This does not in any way mean that you do a shoddy job, it simply means you go with more natural colours. You may still do the whole highlight and contour routine, just remember, subtlety is the key word. So with that, EYES, LIPS, FACE........
